A P'tite Maiz 'is above all a friend thing. We are Christophe and Quentin, two friends who came together in a common project around our passion: the making of beer. We therefore decided to embark on this world in 2011 as an amateur and more professionally since 2015. Christophe takes care of marketing and communication. Quentin, when it comes to production. We carry out together the research and development of future beers in our range.

Fruity (peach, apricot), creamy, sweet, getting some off balance flavours somehow.

330ml bottle from Le Comptoir Vins et Bieres, St Malo. Pours hazed dark, good off-white head. Chocolate-coated raspberry notes coming through on the nose alongside a strong roasty presence. Flavour profile continues along these lines, raspberry jars a bit against the roast and firm bitterness, but it does get more palatable as you journey through.

From tap at Vršocická Galerie Piva, Prague, 19.08.24. Hazy orange. Almost no head. Aroma and taste of oranges, dried tropical fruits, marmalade, pineapple and citrus bitterness.

Tap at SQBRU. Murky pale brownish-orangeish body, thick beige head. Citric notes in the aroma, bit tart, some stone fruit, bit estery, spicy, tea. Dry taste, herbal hoppy notes, bit yeasty, light esters, vague dry maltiness, herbal, lightly citric, ending bitterish, some bitter citric notes. Okay, fairly unimpressive.

Mini-tasting with myself at home on 22nd March 2024. 33cl bottle into an old Hoegaarden Grand Cru stemmed tulip glass. This is my first beer from 'Centre-Val de Loire' and completes all the French regions for me! Hazed light orange body, white crust. Yeasty, malty and fruity, the alcohol level isn't hidden well, but that adds to the brew rather than taking anything away. Pleasant and a great way to complete my French regions.

A small taste @ Remedy, cellar's treasures tasting. Pours very dark brown with a huge tan head (escaped the bottle). Aroma is roasted malts with chocolate and whisky. Flavor is roasted malts with coffee, whisky, hops. Pretty good.
