Aroma: The nose is heavy malty, with lots of toffee, plenty of nutty notes, light caramel, and roast
Appearance: It pours a clear mahogany color with a thick foam of beige head and fairly heavy lace
Flavor: Tastes heavy malty and pretty sweet, fairly nutty as well, and doesn't have much bitterness
Palate: This one is medium bodied with a solid mouthfeel that's fairly typical in the style
Overall Impression: This is a decent beer for what it is trying to be. All the components seem to be pretty well intentioned and well executed, but the beer itself just isn't all that exciting.

Tap @ Steakout Saloon in Fort Collins. I swear they advertised this as "Chocolate Mint Stout" at the bar, but maybe I’m mistaken (or maybe they were). Pours a deep black appearance with a moderately sized, creamy brown head. Aroma has a fair amount of mint, chocolate, roasted malts, and a touch of vanilla. The flavor tastes like a Thin Mint, though the mint seemed to be a bit overboard in my opinion. There was a fairly herbal, bitter bite on the finish that I also didn’t particularly care for. Overall, it wasn’t a hard beer to drink and certainly a strong offering for Fort Collins Brewery.

Aroma: The nose is sweet malts, must, grains, lemon zest, and some bready notes
Appearance: Pours a hazed orange color with an inch of off-white head and some drippy lace
Flavor: The flavor is sweet and malty, there's a little citrus too, with minimal bitterness
Palate: The body is light, it has a decent feel, a average-plus carbonation, and a tingly finish
Overall Impression: This one wasn't a favorite for me. It's a little musty, doesn't have a great feel, and that tingly, lemony finish just didn't work all that well either. Not bad, but not a winner either.

Bottle at Paul’s "Blind" imperial stout tasting. Pours black with a tan head. Nose and taste is almost all chocolate with a little roast. Some coffee notes. The chocolate becomes less impressive with each sip. First sip was a 3.8 and so on down from there. Medium body.
