Cask handpull at Wenlock Arms, London. Ruby, lasting beige head. Some caramel, bit of butter, but nothing too offensive. Nice enough. Good solid mild. Not many hops. Good malts, good condition and impressive for a 3.0% beer.

Bottle, Carringtons, Manchester. Cloudy darkish amber colour with a very thin film of head. Biscuity malt aroma with a hint of citrus fruitiness. 5.8% very well masked and palate actually a touch on the watery side. Yeasty, sweet caramel maltiness with muted citrus tones in the flavour. Finished very dry. Started to get a bit tedious towards the end of the glass and put me in mind of a horrendous bar I used to live nearby of the same name.
