Can to becher glass.
Appearance: pale soupy yellow cloudiness with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: bitter orange rind, pine needles, and passion fruit hop notes play with a nice clean malt ball
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine bitter to tart to bittersweet quality; finishes with the orange rind and passion fruit
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, light smoothness but a touch of hop heat
Overall: wonderful aromas and flavors! Get that hop heat cleaned up and this beer could be a real gem!

Can to snifter.
Appearance: amber to almost brown color with a sly transparency about it and less than a finger's worth of white foamy head which slid off delicately to leave some light lace
Aroma: powerful qualities of caramel & toffee with a light earthy/tobacco-like undertone balance with some grassy to floral hops
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas to a fine earthy sweet to toffee sweet quality; finishes semi-dry with the earthy to caramel tones
Texture: light to medium bodied, good as a sipper; some smoothness but also enough dryness to slow things down here
Overall: to me, I say this is a pretty nice English strong ale I would be willing to come back to. Glad to see a Vermont brewer brew this style.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: pale yellowed orange cardboard haziness with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: white grapes, citrus zest and mango sweet hop tones with a clean bready/biscuity malt
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a bittersweet to zesty quality; finishes bittersweet and a touch of dryness through the citrus zest and mangoes
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, good smoothness but the zesty tones seem to clamp down on the tongue a little bit
Overall: lovely aromas and flavor, get that texture smoothed out a bit more and we'll have a real banger here!

A 16 oz can acquired from Half Time late last year bearing a stamp of what appears to be Oct 22, 2025. The label on the can indicates 8.0% abv, just saying. A globe glass ready, I make the pour. I see a hazy orange-gold liquid finished by a decent top of absolutely white foam. A sniff gives me plenty of tropical, some citrus along with that, grain and hops. And the drink backs up the nose. Orange peel, a bit of guava, some pineapple sweetness, hops, pine, paper and a small bitterness at the end. I have to say that I am enjoying this brew more than I anticipated. The style, NE or WC? I say it tilts towards being a hazy IPA but there's west coast to offset that. Interesting beer, pleasant surprise.

Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: copper to orange cloudiness but subtle transparency closer to the edges of the glass. Finger's worth of white foamy head slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: mango with some piney hops, earthy hops too, subtle citrusy zest, light clean malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to blend bittersweetly with the clean malts, subtle aftertaste of pine & mango
Texture: medium bodied, good as a sipper, some crisp clean hop smoothness rolls along my tongue, finishes citrusy and mango-sweet
Overall: nicely done NEDIPA worthy of returning to.

Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: murky amber color with a two finger white foamy head which slid off delicately to leave some sly lace
Aroma: tropical fruity hops, clean caramel/toffee malt base
Flavor: blends the prior mentioned aromas nicely together more sweet than bittersweet but eventually becomes bittersweet with more sips; mild aftertaste of tropical hops
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper, some smoothness along the tongue; finishes sweet, semi-crisp and quaint
Overall: nice enough DIPA but not a true NEDIPA by any sense of that style.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: hazy burnt orange/copper color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave messy lace
Aroma: citrusy and tropical fruity hoppiness, clean malts
Flavor: bittersweet juicy hops, clean malts; mild aftertaste of juicy hops
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper; somewhat smooth but could possibly be a touch smoother; finishes semi-dry and tropical fruity
Overall: pretty nicely done DIPA coming close to being a NEDIPA.

Another beer acquired from the decent people at Half Time Beverages, this time a one pint can. I have a tulip glass from Buffalo Bayou catching this one. The appearance is a solid black body with a persistent skim of of khaki tan foam. I lift for a sniff. Lots of grain, some chocolate, malt and earth. The taste is tasty with a properly full sensation. Blackened toast, tobacco, malt, dark chocolate, some molasses, black licorice and just enough blackberry to register. Better than anticipated.
