Panda thanks to Cloin. Oooh! A QIPA! A medium haze on this orange gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, a mild viscosity as expected for a brew with an abv in wine territory, doesn't stop good fine minerally carbonation from developing. Smooth pale malts, a forward creamy sweetness. Not for the first time tonight, Citra hops presenting very tropical. Mango and guava in particular. Hop spice bites in the mid and doesn't let go. Touches of candyish orange and a whisper of pink grapefruit on the slightly soft but hop spicy finish. Nicely hop forward but also, nicely delivered, other than a little viscosity in the mouthfeel, there wasn't anything giving away this brews hefty abv. File under 'tasty but treat with Uber respect'. Dangerous stuff indeed!

2nd January 2025Panda thanks to Cloin. A medium haze on this deep orange gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Nose of pine and melon is obvious. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts but plenty of creamy sweetness. Quite a candy fruits hop profile, cooling pine and a little citrus. Light melon on the back end, light but clear and fairly bright. Crisp semi dry finish. Goes down very easy for a double digit tipa.

Can split at CBJ, picked up from Craft Central.ie online, 27/11/24. Hazed orange topped with an off white cap. Nose is melon, old skool vibes, grapefruit, mandarin, papaya. Taste comprises grapefruit, pine needle, melon, bitter orange, straw. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with earthy come grassy hop bitterness. Okay DIPA but not up to the usual HH standards.

Karamellig hopfiger Beginn, erkennbar alkoholisch, süß, cremig. Die starke Süße bleibt konstant, der Hopfen schwächt etwas ab, Noten von Kokos. Geringe Herbe, langer Abgang, unsüffig. 8/8/7/8//8

Can at home, from Craft Central.ie, 10/12/24. Murky fruit smoothie orange topped with a good sized lasting white head. Nose is ripe tropical fruit esters, mango pulp, pine resin, ripe melon, passionfruit, papaya, sweet malts. Taste comprises sticky mango, passionfruit, orange zest, pine resin, sweet tropical fruit pulp, papaya, mandarin, Um Bongo lickings. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy come resinous hop bitterness allied to a balanced rising boost. Solid stuff for a 12% QIPA ... sweet edged as expected but lots of juicy tropical fruit vibes and a balanced amount of bitterness to keep this easy drinking.

Light bright pine. Fairly rich and ripe citrus, slightly bruised. Citra is a hop that has largely survived mass cultivation and terroir spread but it has lost a couple of things and one of them is pink grapefruit brightness and that would have really helped brighten this one.
