Bottle at the RateBeer Best Festival 2016. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. The aroma holds roasted malts and orange citrus. Moderately sweet, with hard bitter cocoa, scorched earth, burnt pine. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Bittersweet baking cocoa hits it on the finish, with more piney notes, rindy citrus. Good one overall.
