I have a pint can from a Total Wine in Albuquerque. Bow & Arrow not widely available, glad to find one I have not had before. My ABGB snifter beckons, I pour. I see a lemonade colored body supported by a consistent cover of fully white foam. I smell citrus, tropical and grain, not unusual for the style. And the taste, not bad for a style I am not crazy for. Grapefruit, tangerines to a small degree, grain, some appreciated hoppiness for a surprise and a peach sweetness. Rather pleasant.

Pint can. Peach aroma with notes of apricot, nectarine, orange, grapefruit, tangerine and floral hops. Pours hazy golden colored with a finger of white head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with juicy peach, apricot, orange and tangerine flavors. Finishes smooth but dry with nectarine, grapefruit and floral hop flavors. Very nice hazy.

This 16 oz can was found at Total Wine in Albuquerque a few months ago. Bow & Arrow is an interesting brewery, lots of IPAs, some of them rather good. Cowtown tulip glass catches the pour, I determine a hazy pale yellow body topped by a powerful head of snow white foam. The nose is pleasant enough, citrus, tropical fruit and a whiff of hops, nothing extraordinary. But now the taste and I can say it is good. Dried apricots, guava, crackers, malt, plenty of hops and an accompanying bitterness, grain, a touch of pineapple and likewise with grapefruit. Hazy style is not my favorite but this beer is a proper example. And the label reflects the brewery's ownership, nice touch.

A new brew to me from Total Wine in Santa Fe. Several beers I have had now from Bow & Arrow, some good, some missing the mark. I think it is time to see what Southwesty does for me. The pint can is open and I lift into my Great Heights snifter. The appearance is a semi-clear pale yellow liquid topped by a small but persistent head of totally white foam. I smell hops and cut grass and a touch of citrus. The drink is similar, lemons, some grapefruit, white bread and a strong bitterness. Unfortunately nothing really carries this beer over the finish line ahead of anything else in the style.

This one pint can was discovered at the Santa Fe Total Wine a few weeks ago. Thoroughly cooled off it is ready to tilt inside of the substantial New Belgium globe glass, my first real tasting glass. An interesting enough view, I see a semi-hazy lemon rind yellow body finished by a steadily recharged head of ice white foam. The scent goes towards citrus along with a bit of tropical fruit. The taste mostly confirms this also. Grapefruit, tangerines, dry crackers, malt and just enough mango to notice. Sweet enough but I get more bitterness. One of the best beers I’ve had from the brewery which is Native American owned.

16 oz. can. Pours a clear, straw color, with a small, foamy, white head. The nose is straw, roasted corn, orange peel, coriander, and grass clippings. Fairly sweet, with a mild, resinous bitterness. Light, sticky, and crisp. Pretty nice.
