Description
We are a modern craft brewery and tap room founded in 2014 in Rivington. Focusing on innovative modern styles, while drawing inspiration from the past.

Our inspiration comes from the world over, but our focus is very much local. We concentrate on making the best beer in styles we love, for the people in our local communities. Our passion for the North West is paid back tenfold. We have local landlords who buy whatever we make, no matter the style - from barleywine to grisette - we’re really lucky that so many places support us because they like our beers, and their customers love to try anything local. The people we look up to are all the brewers who are never content with the beers that they’re making - you can always be better.

Cask at Cafe Beermoth where I found a Rivington tap takeover last weekend. Pours dark brown towards black with a tan cap. Smooth roast & dark chocolate with a light to moderate chilli tingle coming through. Medium body with tight carbonation. Lovely drop on cask, not silly spicy, well balanced.

Bottle from Drink? Hebden Bridge. Deeper amber with a frothy-bubbly head. Its strength makes this hoppy brew quite deep tasting, with some fruitiness coupled with sugars.

Keg @ Tap and Can. Pours an unclear deep pink colour, no head. Didn't properly read the pump clip before sipping, and found this to be all about the red berries, raspberries, redcurrants and red fruits in general. Didn't really detect any blueberry or pineapple. Very good for what it is in any case, but unfortunately have to mark the overall score down for not being what it purports to be.

Pours like cloudy Ribena with little to no head and a fruity aroma. Berry fruits to the fore here with just a hint of some slightly tart pineapple going on.

500ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Hamar. Shared with Dag Erik and Leif Ståle. Patchy surface, spotty lacing, and a pearl white, remaining head. Floral fruity nose with a citric scent, promising. Flavoured with moments of grapefruit, juicy wheat, and peaches. Rounded hop fruity ending, bittersweet. Medium bodied. Likable. (Hamar 04.03.2022).
