Pitch black, topped with a thin beige head. Roasted aroma with hints of chocolate and coffee, and a slight acidity. Full body, low carbonation, and a fairly high herbal bitterness. The taste is bitterly roasted, delicately creamy, with notes of coffee and dark cocoa. The promised orange presence was missing. Not bad, but there is a but.

cludy golden, huge white head.
very mild malty aroma, perhaps nutty malty.
flavor is malty, dry, hopped like an english pale ale with a lot of bittering non-flowery, non-fruity notes. In that regard the flavor is pretty good and well done to style, smooth, well bitter without being metallic at all and with subtle herbal and fruity hoppy notes, making the bitterness more than just flat out bitter. Very well done.

A golden and murky beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has citrus, light caramel and over riped fruitness. Taste has fruitness, some of them over riped, also some green herbs. Medium bodied. Should be fresher.

330ml can, via Beer52. Poured into my Gordon thistle shaped glass at home on 10th February 2026, during a mini tasting session with myself and no one else. dark brown body, weak beige head. Semi sweet front with chocolate and soft orange aroma/flavours. The orange (pulp according to the ingredients) gets stronger as the beer warms and the chocolate fades away somewhat. This leads to a more bittering finish.

330ml can via Beer52. Poured into my lovely Gordon thistle shaped glass at home on 10th February 2026. Mini tasting going on with myself, Margie is out and Bertie is fast asleep, snoring in the living room. This the third beer of the afternoon (it's 17:15). Clean light mahogany body, beige roof on top. Malty, but not very 'Stouty' in my opinion. Orange peel bitterness in there, but no sweetness. Mild caramel/toffee nose as it warms but nothing in the taste. No unpleasant or nasty, just a little weird (orange pulp listed as an ingredient).
