Description
The brewery was founded in May 2007 under the name Quercus Devon Ales in Churchstow, Devon. In 2011 new owners took over the brewery till 2016.

In September 2016 the business was purchased by a consortium led by city insurance specialist John Tiner and his wife Geraldine. They changed its name to the current one. In 2017 the brewery moved to the current location.

Salcombe Brewery Co. has stunning views towards the Salcombe Ria. The innovative new brewery is a unique concept situated above a decommissioned water reservoir, utilising the natural ambient temperature of the underground facility, making the brewery as energy efficient as possible. Together with the surrounding nature and views towards Salcombe, itโ€™s a great place for local and visiting customers to enjoy.

Bottle, picked up from the Vale Brewery, 25-10-08, consumed 26-10-08 Pours golden with white head. Fairly predictable that this was going to be fruity, bit citrusy, tangy, hoppy and bitter, no problem with that at all, its just that it was like so many others of this ilk, distinctly average and afraid to be different.

Bottle from Utobeer. Essence of a summer’s day on the label, drunk on the first day of winter. Hazy gold, thin lasting white head. Bit of butter/toffee on aroma. After that it’s a pretty good, nice sharp hop bitter. Some earthiness, quite a poorish BCA beer though, yeah, definite diacetyl. Then earthy pale ale and then decent hop.
