Unit 7, Bewdley Craft Centre, Lax Lane, Bewdley, DY12 2DZ, England
Description
We are a small group of people who are passionate about beer. So much so that we decided to bring a brewery back to Bewdley.
It has taken a lot of hard work and determination but we hope you'll agree it has all been worthwhile. Together we bring years of experience from within the industry and by just enjoying a good quality pint!
We brew on a 10 barrel plant which produces 2880 pints per brew. We have capacity to brew four times per week, and so this gives over half a million pints per year.
Wild River is our craft and keg arm of the brewery.

500ml Bottle: bought while at the brewery, BBD Feb 2015, opened at home on 7th March 2014. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard. Pale golden body, almost lager like, the full white head also fell away, lager style! Good hop aroma, not the usual citrus notes typical currently in the UK, this golden bitter has a proper non-citrus fruity aroma with hints of bitterness. The hops carry on to rule the taste, bitter, fruity and thirst quenching. Very little maltiness throughout, a really good hop infused brew which even ’West Coast’ Americans would find interesting!

500ml Bottle: BBD Apr 15. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 23 Feb 14. Bought at the brewery after a visit on 22 Feb 14. Very pale brew, with a wisp for a head. Mild hop aroma and taste: not a lot going on to be honest, expected more. This may well be their first green hop brew, but it lacks character, depth and flavour. Refreshing enough, but Dave (the brewer/owner) has missed a trick here, the green hops didn’t carry enough flavour and needed a helping hand from something else to make the beer hoppier. I’m almost tempted to call it watery. Bland and pretty boring, subtle flavours and aromas may well have passed me by, but I like to think I’m fair with my writings: this wasn’t up to much.

500ml bottle. Pours gold with a large head. Aroma is sweet, with straw and grass. Taste is pretty much the same, straw and grass with a touch of sulphur on the finish. A little rubber.

Gravity poured half-pint at the 2013 Birmingham CAMRA beer festival. Light golden colour, bright and clean, with a thin white head. Citrus notes throughout the tasting: grapefruit mostly, but not really sour in taste. I’m fed up with golden, citrus flavoured UK beers: but this one didn’t seem so bad, maybe I’m mellowing with age. I hope not! I like Bewdley Breweries beers, this one is also fine, just ease back on the citrus feel and I’d like it more.

Gravity dispense at Beer In Hand, Worcester, 17/10/13. Murky mahogony brown with a thin light tan covering. Nose is tarte fruit, treacle toffee, earthy. Taste comprises light cocoa, liqourice, toffee, earthy, tangy fruit. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, tarte almost lactic fruit tang in the finale. Interesting strong (anything but) mild ! Not sure if this was past its prime as the fruit seemed very bitter vergeing on sour, it was drinkable enough though no great in the style!

Cask at The Old Black Bull, Preston. Pours amber with a thin white head. Aromas are muted malts and spicy hops, cake mix and caramel towards the end. Taste is on the sweeter side. Medium body, creamy texture. Slipped down fine, but not particularly memorable.
