16 oz can. The aroma is roasty, earth, light coffee. The taste is smooth roasted malt, toast, coffee grinds, bitter cocoa and mild acidity with a very dry, roasty finish. Medium body. Good for the style.

16 oz can. Aroma is Vienna and toffee malts. Flavor of toasted grain, weak earth, weak ale yeast. A Irish Red Ale is plain and boring across the board. Lighter side of medium in body. Very simple and that is what I expected.

Pint can. Ginger aroma with notes of pumpkin, clove, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon and some caramel malt. Pours clear copper-orange colored with a thin tan head that has little retention and some lacing. Starts with pumpkin, clove, allspice and nutmeg flavors. Finishes smooth with caramel malt, ginger and cinnamon. Pretty good pumpkin beer.

Can from trade with CLW--thanks, Chris! Cloudy orange juice, nice sparkle, no head or lacing. Aroma is citrus, vague "other" fruit (stone?). Taste follows aroma--some definable orange--along with malt backbone. Frothy texture, avg. carbonation, finish as taste. This couldn't live up to the expectations--DDH Nelson!!?? YES!--and it didn't. Was it going to be grapey-Nelson or herby-Nelson? Citrusy-Nelson? Hmmm. Not sure whether to give props for forging a different path or it's a failed opportunity. I think the latter.

Can (10/21/24) from trade with CLW--thanks, Chris! Hazy bright yellow, fine particulate mist, nice sparkle, thin head with good retention and nice webs of lacing. Aroma is strong spruce tips, pine, hint of lime. Taste is strong spruce tips, lime. Average carbonation, finish as taste. Many spruce tip beers fail to deliver spruce tips! Not this one! If you like spruce tips, this would be one I'd reach for!

Pours clear gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes leaving spidery sheets. Mild pine aromas. Crisp with sweet caramel and strong pine front to back and into the lasting stong pine and fir finish. Christmas tree water.
