Cask at the White Hart Tap, St Albans on 17th July 2018. Coppery amber with off-white foam and initial lacing. Rich biscuit malt aroma. Fine citrus fruits and biscuit malts in-mouth, with a lush malt and bitter finish. Light but engaging mouthfeel and light body. A superb, balanced and rounded ale.

Can from Four Hops, Reigate. Enjoyed from the can on the train to our next stop, Redhill. Aroma of tropical and citrus fruit, grass and hay. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Towards being medium bodied, slight oily texture, slightly fizzy carbonation. A quite simple session IPA which according to the can is perfect for the beach, pool or BBQ but worked ok on a Southern Railway train on a rainy January night too.

Bottle from Good Taste, Crystal Palace. It pours clear deep golden/ orange with a small white head. The soft, juicy, tropical fruits, mango, peach, biscuity malt, passion fruit, and marmalade. The taste is crisp, bitter orange, lemon sherbet, grapefruit, minerals, grass, straw and pepper with a bone dry finish. Light-medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Crisp, bitter and refreshing. Rather impressive.
