Description
Created in Birmingham in 2016 by cousins Josh and Calum, GlassHouse Beer Co. has grown in leaps and bounds on the back of its innovative vegan beers.

Graduating from Josh’s mum’s greenhouse in 2018 (where the brewery gets its name), GlassHouse had a rocky period over the pandemic but managed to push through by producing a great range of cans.

GlassHouse beer isn’t fined or filtered, and while it has been known to produce a milk stout or two, its beers are typically vegan. While they’re available nationally, the team’s glare is firmly fixed on improving and supporting the Birmingham beer scene.

(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 8 Aug 2025) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, lemon peel, passionfruit and pineapple. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, pineapple, passionfruit, lemon peel, white bread and a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh and hoppy. High drinkability. Very nice.

On tap at Hereford Beer House Saturday 18th October 2025 in the company of Baz and Isobel. Pours hazy, milky yellow with a large white sticky head. There's a little bit of tropical fruit on the nose, ice cream also. In the mouth similar, a little tart tangy edge, easy drinking.

Cloudy / milk yellow gold with a frothy white and a juicy and slightly dank fruit aroma. Creamy with a touch of jagged sharpness up front, zesty and fruity with hop bitterness and a dry finish.

Keg at Society, Brum. Hazy pale gold. Thin foamy white head at least has decent lacing. Aroma has chewy malts with light fruit and a resinous edge. Flavourwise it has big stone fruit with a bitter somewhat resinous edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick..Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Decent.

Panda thanks to Cloin. A mild haze on this slightly yellowish gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Thin bodied pale malts but quite sweet, a little bit of milky sweetness. Hops bring light pine and a light juicy citrus that gets mildly tangy. Light and semi dry finish. Not terrible but, there is that ever present feeling of something gone askew without being disastrous.

440ml can from the brewery and shared in KL. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, herbal. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a fresh, light, crisp, grapefruit, dry hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average.
