Glasshouse Beer Co
Microbrewery
in Birmingham,
West Midlands,
England 🏴
Associated Venue: Glasshouse Brewery Tap
Established in 2018
Graduating from Josh’s mum’s greenhouse in 2018 (where the brewery gets its name), GlassHouse had a rocky period over the pandemic but managed to push through by producing a great range of cans.
GlassHouse beer isn’t fined or filtered, and while it has been known to produce a milk stout or two, its beers are typically vegan. While they’re available nationally, the team’s glare is firmly fixed on improving and supporting the Birmingham beer scene.

Keg draught at the General, Rushden. Light gold, hazy with a small film of white head and a fair bit of lacing. Light lemony aroma, some icing sugar, some orchard fruit. Sweet taste lets the malt base shine through, so a lot of vanilla, herbal lemon balm, gentle notes of pear. Medium body, carbonation on the low side. It's subtlety is its charm.

Draught keg at the Real Ale Classroom, City centre, Leicester. Fresh aroma. Grapefruit, tropical fruits, nectarine. Sweet taste, some fank hop, notes of tropical fruit, citrus, weed. Bitterness in the finish is nicely pronounced but it remains a balanced beer. Medium body with carbonation on the heavy side. An incredible weighty IPA.
