Description
Created in Birmingham in 2016 by cousins Josh and Calum, GlassHouse Beer Co. has grown in leaps and bounds on the back of its innovative vegan beers.

Graduating from Josh’s mum’s greenhouse in 2018 (where the brewery gets its name), GlassHouse had a rocky period over the pandemic but managed to push through by producing a great range of cans.

GlassHouse beer isn’t fined or filtered, and while it has been known to produce a milk stout or two, its beers are typically vegan. While they’re available nationally, the team’s glare is firmly fixed on improving and supporting the Birmingham beer scene.

Draft at the brewery taproom. Poured a clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, tropical citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a fresh, crisp, juicy melon, mango, light stone fruits, light herbal, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Panda thanks to Colin. Hazy orange gold beer, decent bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, a little dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thinning but pretty sweet pale malts, maybe a tad too sweet for mez getting mildly milky. Decent stone fruit punch on the hops, good cooling pine and a slightly ripe citrus backdrop. Light and semi dry finish. Nice hops but the malts let it down.

Taste comprises mandarin, papaya, tangerine, citric tinged straw, light breads.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy hop bitterness.
Decent enough pale.
