Description
We, Sharp’s Brewery, are a modern brewer of cask and bottled beer based in Rock, Cornwall, and owner of the UK’s number one cask and bottled beer, Doom Bar. We’ve grown rapidly to become the largest brewer of cask beer in the South West.

Sharp's Brewery was founded in 1994 by Bill Sharp. The brewery has been through three phases – from a small micro brewery, to a larger facility within the same building and finally to the current phase that has seen the Brewery extend its premises to accommodate more vessels and increase its brewing capacity. Since 2011, the brewery has been owned by Molson Coors.

Cask at Wheterspoons Mancherster. Had this one with breakfast with the hopes it'll bring me back to life after the long 1st night of FFB. Safe to say it did the job.

Cask somewhere in Penzance. Unclear, deep golden body with a dense, tan head. Aroma is mostly malty with hints of red fruit. Flavor is sweet malt, hint of toast, relatively smooth, some butterscotch (not too bad) with hint of slightly acid berries. Medium body and average aftertaste. Slightly dull and probably not in it’s best shape but drinkable.

Cask somewhere in Penzance. Clear amber body with a small white head. Not much aroma, very mild, slightly toasted malt. Flavor is very smooth and soft malt, hint of caramel, some kind of general fruitiness and mild, pleasant bitterness. A very decent classic Bitter. Fine balanced body and OK aftertaste. Classic.

Bottle at an airport hotel bar. Pours a clear, amber color, with a fair, foamy, beige head. The nose is caramel, chalk, juniper berries, and sawdust. Sweet and malty, with a slick, poor bitterness. Light, sharp, and sticky. Weak and mediocre.

Bottle in England. Aroma is mild pale malty with a hint of fruity hops. Some caramel and toffee as well. Flavour is light to moderate bitter. Body is light to medium. Doesn’t have a lot of character, but this is a refreshing and easy sessionable beer.

Served a bit too cold but slipped down nicely while watching the England v Ireland Six Nations match in The West Didsbury Club.
