Cask@The Bull, Highgate, London. Deep rubyish amber colour, not too much head. Aroma is fruits, mild yeasty and earthy notes as well as some slight floral and wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, wooden, quite malty along with some slight bready and earthy notes.

Cask@Pigs Ear Beer Festival 2011. Very deep amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, some syrup, mild wood and chocolate. Flavour is some sour wooden notes, raisins, sap, syrup and some slight bitterness. A bit on the sweeter side of bitters.

Live addition and rating. Cask at the Bull, Highgate, London on 27th September 2011. Ruby red with off white foam ring that decays without a lace. Rather strong yeasty aroma with some earthy pungency. The in-mouth taste of the light bodied liquid is autumn leaves, berries, maltiness, nuttiness. End taste becomes lemon citric. Mouthfeel is light and slightly oily. Refreshing and pleasant.

Cask at the newly opened Bull brewpub, Highgate, London on 10th September 2011. Clear amber body and a bubbly offwhite head with little or no lacing. Fruity, spicy aromas. Rich taste blend in liquid - very bitter but with berry fruits and spicy touches. Fruitiness and strong bitter line continue into the aftertaste, carrying well on a fresh and zingy mouthfeel. A good pint.
