Description
Multiple Award Winning Family-run Brewery based in Torbay, Devon!
Bays Brewery began in March 2007 when Will Freeland, Mark Salmon and Peter Salmon joined forces and signed a lease on an old 5000 square foot steel fabrication unit in Paignton. The transformation began towards the end of March and by the middle of June, after some considerable construction and installation works, it was running its first brew through the 20 barrel brew plant.
With Will Freeland’s experience as the head brewer at Skinners Brewery in Truro for ten years, Bays Brewery was quickly able to establish an efficient and consistent brewing regime.

Cask pint on 13th July 2018 at the Chevalier Inn, Exeter. A deep golden body, off-white crown. Malty brew with some decent hop content. The nose held some caramel notes alongside a few floral/spicy esters. Taste wise the malts again came through the strongest with the hops just below the surface.

Bottle labelled "Crocod-ale" from the brewer's own stall at the Dartmouth Food Festival. Hazy dull golden-amber with a negligible head. A light grassy note set against a light malty body. Boring and basic, but at least it raised money for the local zoo's conservation work.
