Description
Multiple Award Winning Family-run Brewery based in Torbay, Devon!

Bays Brewery began in March 2007 when Will Freeland, Mark Salmon and Peter Salmon joined forces and signed a lease on an old 5000 square foot steel fabrication unit in Paignton. The transformation began towards the end of March and by the middle of June, after some considerable construction and installation works, it was running its first brew through the 20 barrel brew plant.

With Will Freeland’s experience as the head brewer at Skinners Brewery in Truro for ten years, Bays Brewery was quickly able to establish an efficient and consistent brewing regime.

Bottle from LCB, 7 months still in date. Clear dark gold to amber with small off white head which didn't last. Malty on the nose with bread and caramel as well as light stone fruits. Taste again is quite malty with toffee and grain notes, light fruity apricot and citric tang. Light to medium bodied, moderate bitterness. Not much to it. Maybe its better on cask.

Bottle from Ladrum Bay Holiday Park, Budleigh Salterton. Pours a clear dark gold with small off white head. Malty aroma with biscuit, grains and some lime. Taste again is quite malt driven - bready, some caramel, pepper and a light tangy zest. It's ok.
