440 ml can, from Seven Cellars. ABV is 4.5%. Reddish brown colour, slightly hazy, moderate off-white head. Aroma of malts and caramel. The flavour is malty and fruity, caramel again but not too sweet. Grapefruity / citric notes, also brown bread. A moderate piney bitterness in the finish.

Can from Indiebeer, Holloway. 8% version. Aroma had sweet stone fruit alongside tart citrus and pine. Hazy amber orange. Foamy white head. Medium-heavy bitter. Grows in intensity. But as it develops the underlying sweet jammy citrus and stone fruit become more assertive. Resinous core. Medium bodied. Creamy. Flat-average carbonation. Dry slightly astringent finish. Enjoyable.

Can from Indiebeer, Holloway. Can't complain about the aroma. Maple with malty chocolate and coffee. Dark and glossy. Thick fluffy foamy tan head. Medium-heavy bitter. Underlying sweetness combines with a sour edge - in fact the latter is more obvious. However it's the black chocolate and blacker coffee bitterness that dominates. Medium-heavy bodied. Creamy. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Rich but bitter, the sweeter elements provide some relief but do not distract.

Rocky beige head left a froth on a reddish brown still body. Malt, pine & brown sugar aroma. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated with a clean back. Pine, jam, demerara, berries & spiced tastes with a hoppy finish. Right up my street!,
