We are an award-winning, independent brewery and have been brewing since 1992. We are run by a family of craft beer fanatics and our aim is to create the most delicious and flavoursome beers possible.
Founded in 1992 at Ford Airfield, Arundel Brewery specialised in traditional cask ales. Under new 2014 ownership, they expanded to Lyminster Road in 2019, opening The Brewhouse Project. For a while, they simultaneously brewed at both locations. Now fully consolidated as the Arundel Taphouse and no longer using The Brewhouse Project name.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of light tan head. Aroma is sweet brown sugars, twig, toasted toffee, caramel. Flavour is composed of layered sweet malts, plum fruit, jam, cake. Palate is very sweet, sticky, lowish carbonation. Very sweet malty beer.

Cask at the Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. An attractive dark tawny colour with a thin beige head; malty aroma with some red fruit and a touch of wood smoke; smooth in the mouth with a dry caramel taste; and some licorice to finish. Very drinkable.

Cask handpull at The County Hotel Ashford JDW. Black beer ruby highlights lasting tan head. Chocolate aroma. A little dark fruit. Juicy. Rather good.

Cask @ Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury. Pours clear deep brown, off-white head. Aroma is spicy chocolate. Taste is christmas cake, chocolate malts, spice. Decent.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol October 2016. Near black in colour with a moderately sized, tan, head. Aroma of milk chocolate, black coffee and toasty malts, with a hint of vanilla. Flavour had chocolate sweetness, some berries, a creamy edge and gentle finish. My favourite beer of this Wetherspoons’ festival.

Can from Beer52. Mahogany coloured with a moderate beige head and a middling fizz. The fruity aroma develops into stewed plums with chocolate and lightly roasted malts on the initial taste. Further swigs reveal light woodsmoke and honey roast ham, although these never overpower the other flavours. It’s generally sweetish, with mild dryness and sourness. At times maybe the slight sourness of those stewed plums is a little too evident, but generally it’s a well-balanced tasty brew that suited bonfire night well.
