23/2/2019. Cask at the Great British Winter Beer Festival 2019, Norwich. Pours almost black with a bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Finish develops a still burn, the chilli's not at all apparent from the aroma though.

Medium sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Dry, bittersweet finish. Enjoyed this, good complexity, getting a lot out of this for its quite modest abv.

[Carry out from the brewery.] A bright pale amber pour with a ring of white head; leafy aroma; an unexpectedly floral taste, rather than the advertised grapefruit and pine, with a sweet biscuity malt body; and then a dry citrusy finish.

Pours a deep dark brown colour with an average sized foamy beige head that settled to a thin layer. Aroma is light roasted malts, dark toffee and smoke. A light roasted malty taste, some dark toffee and smokey flavours. An earthy woody bitterness and smoke to finish. Interesting, in a good way.
