Cask @ Tap and Can. Pours a hazed gold, small white head. Appealing tropical fruits on the nose. Body is perhaps a little light and thin, a touch harsh, but some nice pleasant stonefruit and resinous citrus shades shine through. Decent.

Handpull cask at the Chiverton Tap, Cheadle Hulme. Light gold, hazy with a thin white head and considerable lacing. Fleshy apricot and melon headline the fruity and slightly floral aroma. Bittersweet taste resplendent with the fleshy Mosaic hop. The initial notes of sweetness fade to a bitter apricotty finish. Low carbonation but full body for a cask. A lovely little New England pale.

Cask at Creaky floorboard, Derby Pours a very dark brown with a small beige head. Nose is malty and nutty. In the mouth there is milky chocolate contasting with dark fruits and blueberries. Overall sweetness with a hint of vanilla and strong alcohol flavouring – I can’t believe this is only 5% ! Finish is dark fruits and malts. Rather nice to say the least.

Handpull cask at the Thorn Tree Inn, Belper. Dark gold, flat and clear with minimal head. Minimal aroma too, a bit of grain and a bit of butterscotch. Bittersweet grainy taste with a touch of juicy hop but it never really comes to anything. Oily body, zero carbonation. Not a great beer from Pentrich.
