Very slightly hazy pale gold with a frothy white head and a soft tart lemon aroma. Light bodied with citrus bitterness and a dry finish

Draught keg at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Light yellow gold, with an impenetrable haze. Small uneven white head, lots of lacing. Aroma is low. A little bit of grapefruit, lemon sugar, and vanilla malt but not getting much else sadly. Bittersweet taste, again pretty dialled back but still enjoyable. Light body with medium carbonation. Maybe this is a harsh rate - is it because I expect more of Pentrich beers? It isn't bad but could use a bit more oomph.

Can. A hazy and slightly dirty looking gold beer, small and short lived pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Soft creamy malts, quite sweet. Soft cooling pine into good rich but fairly ripe citrus, tangy ripe grapefruit. Soft ripe orange and tangerine. A modest amount of peel bitterness offsets the sweetness of this dipa. Finishes smooth and slightly tangy. A rich enough dipa but after 4 excellent District 96 DIPAs this is a much lesser affair.

Cask at Royal Standard, Derby. Pours almost black with minimal frothy tan head and good lacing. There’s a smoky aroma with roasted malts and peanuts. In the mouth it is quite sweet with a creamy and fruity texture. Flavour has roasted malts, peanuts, lactose, dark fruits and hints of chocolate. Some spicy hints after a while. Finish is fruity and slightly dry. This is quite nice.

Can shared at work by me. Amberish copper pour with an off-white head. Nose and taste are sweet(ish) bready and toasty malts, toffee, caramel, maple and a slighf smoky hint. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Tasty, if a bit one dimensional.

Can at home. Pours a magnificent murky orangeish golden colour with a white head. Nose is orange, dank weed, tropical fruits. Taste is sweetish upfront, it shows citruses, candy notes, some weed. It’s somewhat boozy, the finish is lingering and lasts long, but mainly just warms rather than showing pronounced hop character. It’s got a massive body and soft carbonation. It must’ve been a banger of a beer when it was fresh, and to be fair it held up pretty decently anyway.
