Pint in The City Arms, Manchester after a concert. Appropriate name I thought after listening to Dvorak Symphony No 9. A good traditional English bitter.

Can. Hazy orange gold beer, small and short lived pale cream colour head. Airy smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Soft rich creamy malts. Light crisp cooling pine, goes well with mild hop spice. Smooth and slightly rich ripe lime. Nice marmaladey citrus, some brighter juicier citrus on the back end. Modest hop spice tingle. A rich DIPA and it drinks well.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a healthy beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, caramel with a slight bitterness in there. A pleasant enough milk stout.

On tap at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a murky pale orange with minimal scummy off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly floral hops plus traces of citrus and grapefruit. In the mouth it is slightly sweet but with a little underlying bitterness, with citrus and grapefruit prominent in the flavour. After a while some sharpness can be detected along with mango and hints of melon and alcoholic strength. Finish is quite dry and a little boozy. This is an interesting beer which hides its strength well – but not really my type.

Panda thanks to Cloin. A mild haze on this slightly dirty looking gold beer, small bubbly pale cream head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, a fair amount of ripe creamy sweetness, getting milky. Soft but piney key lime shows the Motueka input. Light but nippy hop spice on the semi dry finish. IMHO, the brewery have overcooked the malts on these otherwise splendid single hop IPAs.

Panda thanks to Cloin. A light haze on this slightly dirty looking gold beer, small and short lived bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light malts but a pretty forward creamy sweetness, getting slightly milky. Cooling pine into slightly resinous broad spectrum hop citrus. Smooth finish. A bit too malt sweet forward.
