In this new world of sustainability and with a focus on the environment Monty’s is driving towards a more sustainable process. In the brewery we heat the water for each brew from the previous brew through plate heat exchangers, all helping to keep our carbon footprint down as much as we can. We don’t use any plastic in our packaging, and our waste grain, feeds local cattle, our first and last beer run-ins which would be a waste product are fed to a herd of Welsh Wagyu.

Bottle from Bodnant Welsh Food. Aroma has tart berries, creamy chocolate and malts. Dark and glossy. Thick foamy beige head. Flavourwise it's less punchy than the aroma. Coffee and dark chocolate. Tangy berries. Creamy finish. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation... very lively. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Pleasant.

Bottle @ home. Almost clear amber body under a fine tan head. Mild aroma of malt, biscuit and a hint of fruity hops. Taste is smooth, sweet malt, light toffee, biscuit, some fruity hops and moderate bitterness. Medium to light bodied with a malt driven aftertaste. Nothing amazing, but well made and very food friendly British style red IPA. Actually quite impressive flavor wise withing the style and moderate ABV.

500 ml bottle conditioned, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.6%. Copper colour, huge head, slightly off-white. Malty and nutty aroma, hints of burnt caramel and brown bread, distinct earthy hops. The flavour is first moderately fruity and nutty, then the earthy hops take over, and dominate throughout. The final bitterness is fairly moderate, though.
