Description
4 Islands Brewing is a tribute to the great moments shared by long-time and true friends in the paradisiac beaches of southern Brazil. Taking it easy, relaxing and having a good beer is the essence of our friendship and the motto of our lives. Flip flops first, questions later: more than a slogan, a state of mind.

Based in the Netherlands, our company was founded by three Brazilian friends and is currently brewing in California and Germany. This is who we are, a brewery from everywhere.

Cheers!

Draught at Van Moll. Clear dark golden color, small off-white head. Aroma is well, not there. I don't get anything. Might be me though. Flavor is malts, some old school hoppiness but a bit faint. Not enough hops used perhaps? Thats what it tastes like to me anyway. Or maybe it is just a not so dominant hop. Alright bitterness though, that's pleasant. Ok.

(Draught at Café Derat, Utrecht, 27 Feb 2020) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate coconut and lactose. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, coconut and a balanced cacao bitterness. Medium body, with a certain milky sweetness. Tasty and well balanced sweet stout. Very nice.

33 cl. can @ home, bought @ Rovin, Dongen. Dutch brewery #340. Light hazy light amber with a white head. Tropical fruit aroma with some citrus and some caramel. Taste is malty sweet, almost too sweet. Lightly cartbonated. May have been a bit old but otherwise pleasant.

Gentil minou.
