Description
We've been brewing in New Mills since 2015, based at the Marina and opposite the famous Swizzels factory.
Our name comes from the other major landmark of the town, the Torrs - a park set in the 70-foot-deep gorge cut by the Rivers Goyt & Sett, that the town stands above and around, where many of the town's mills used to stand.

Hmmm, so this a smoke beer whilst its sister Raspberry job is a barleywine? Pretty much the same affair as the Raspberry Rauch. Caramel malts a little stronger, soft smoke a little lighter. Soft ripe cherry. A mellower but richer affair.

Clear deep amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, not quite flat but, very very mild carbonation. Soft caramel malts, not too sweet. A pleasant light smoke, rounded soft smoke, no black ashy grit here. Dominant raspberry, a rich rounded ripe raspberry. Soft finish. A pleasant affair despite the flatness.

Bottle. Barrel and Anvil. Wow. A Torrside bottle in good nick. Fantastic nick tbf. Sits almost black. Swede is comparable to a Kernel job. Easy 9. Nose has the requisite scorched grapefruit. Nicely bitter dark chocolate. As it warms there are notes of coffee grinds. Taste has some dark chocolate sweetness, but this is all about the bitterness. Earthy ashy and citrusy. Super smooth at the 6.8. Lingering grapefruit fruity bitterness to finish. Great CDA here.
