Our name comes from the other major landmark of the town, the Torrs - a park set in the 70-foot-deep gorge cut by the Rivers Goyt & Sett, that the town stands above and around, where many of the town's mills used to stand.

Keg @ Fox And Goose, Hebden Bridge. Hazy watery-golden appearance with a creamy-frothy head. Citrus-juicy with some pine in both aroma and taste.

Sheffield CAMRA Steel City Beer Festival 2024. Hazy brown colour. Quite fruity with darker malts giving this an interesting twist approaching black IPA.
Silky smooth, rich malts with a slight bitter finish. So good!

750ml. Thin black no head but legs. Smokey and malty. I don't dig Islay but this is well balanced. Malt and cocoa. A little oxidation but ok. 7 3 7 3 13

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 02/12/24. Moderately hazed golden orange topped with a just off white head that thins to a swirl. Nose is caramel, stewed fruits, candied fruit rinds, caramel, light boozy nip. Taste comprises caramel, floral notes, get the tea leaves, jasmine etc, berry skins, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay sipper but never a barley wine for me ... to airy fairy!

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 01/12/24. Murky deep amber topped with an off white cap that thins to spotting. Nose is orange marmalade, herb, toffee, floral, dusty hops. Taste comprises sweet malts, caramel, mellow tropical fruit esters, light booze, pine nip, melon. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow hop bitterness. Not really what you want for the style .. a little overly sweet, cloying, lacking bitterness, direction and balance. Not a disaster but certainly one to scroll past!
