Bottle 79 of 120. Jet black colour with no real head. Aroma and taste are chocolate and lone whisky smoke. Some sourness, light soy. Full body.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours pitch black with a small, foamy brown head. Medium sweet with old-school ashy roast, scorched earth, a little smoke, bitter cocoa. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, more strong ash, a little peat, baking cocoa. Great fun.
Very nice. Smooth chocolate and a nice smokiness.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. Cloudy gold with small white head and some retention. Aroma is funky with yeast notes and a touch of citrus. Taste is grains yeast, light tart fruitiness, quite dry. Its ok.
2nd of the cocktail-inspired beers. And it's a complex beast. Smokiness, cut through with hints of the lime, then a herbal, drying finish.

Cask @ Fox And Goose, Hebden Bridge. Amber with a frothy head. Pleasant bitter due to the fine underlying hoppiness within.

Cask @ Fox And Goose, Hebden Bridge. Hazy golden with a thick bubbly-frothy head. Stated hefeweizen, which lingers in its aftertaste. Slightly unusual texture given it's cask but no less worthy. Smooth in texture here.

Cask @ Fox And Goose, Hebden Bridge. Dark amber with a glow and a bubbly-frothy head. Strong tasting but this is part of the sugary-malts character of the alt, which is very well styled in this respect. Has a good breadiness too in both aroma and taste.

Cask @ Cafe Beermoth, Manchester. Slightly paler golden with a creamy head. Exudes a hoppy-bitterness in about equal measure.
