Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, fruity hops, grapefruit - wood - licorice wood, wood - woody. Cask at the St. Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2017. Pours clear golden with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, citrus and hop. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Light to medium body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation.

Cask at Fred ale house (as number 6).... Copper.. Small tan head.. Soft sweet toffee fruit nose.. Dry bitter toffee fruit.. Light dry woody toffee fruit... Fred’s Levenshulme ... 7 cask with nice bias to smaller breweryies...no intersting keg... Small cafe like bar with some outside seating.. Quite nice.

[ As Hophurst Flaxen ].Clear medium orange colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, earthy, apple. Cask @ GBBF 2016. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty weak citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty weak citrus hoppy bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty citrus hoppy finish.

Cask handpull at The Speaker London. Very dark brown ruby colour thin beige. Very roast very molasses really good dark fruit. Rather good i thought. Good dark fruit.
