500ml bottle from Gloucester Services on the M5. Hazy deep golden colour with a foamy bridge head. The aroma is malt and hops, the taste is too but a touch watery.

Bottle from Gloucester Services, M5 northbound. Dark brown, with a billowy, yet short-lived beige head. Sweet, malty and dark fruit aroma, with a hint of roastiness. Easy drinking and malty for a stout with just a touch of toast in the finish. Good.

Bottle from Gloucester Services. Amber in colour with a slight, white, head. Leafy hop aroma, with a touch of orange and stone fruits. Easy drinking, with some biscuity malts, more fruits and a powerfully bitter finish. Enjoyable and traditional.

Cask-conditioned, served by gravity at the Tewkesbury winter beers festival, 7/2/2014. Near black with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish, milk chocolate, followed by some black coffee and a faint lactose tang, before a dryish finish. Good.
