330ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Jet black colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malty aroma, minimally metallic, hoppy overtones with a touch of iron, rust, hints of coffee. Taste is bitter, roasty dark malty, hints of coffee, a minimally grainy touch of coffee surrogate, more metallic than fruity metallic, hoppy overtones with a touch of iron - blueberry in homoeopathic dosis; minimally watery. A bit anaemic overall.

[Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell.] A pale amber pour with a tight white head; citrus aroma; bready body with a traditional English twiggy hop bitterness; and a slightly earthy citrus finish. Rather good.
