22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark red with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of resinous hops, bourbon barrels, American oak, and bready caramel malt. Flavour is full of vanilla and French oak, followed by some bourbon, caramel malt, and bready malt. Nicely sweet, with lots of vanilla and oak. Excellent.

On tap at La Cumbre - West, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out caramel malt, resinous hops, and bready malt. Flavour is rich and assertive, with resinous hops and toasted caramel malt in expert balance. Old school style done wonderfully. That resinous hop bitterness combines beautifully with the caramel malt, leaving a dry, hoppy and yet sticky finish. Excellent.

On tap at La Cumbre - West, pours a clear dull piss yellow with a small white head. Aroma is crisp, with piney hops, some dankness and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp and piney, with a fairly restrained piney hop character balanced by crisp biscuity malt. Not that pronounced a hop flavour, more on the bitterness. Good stuff.

On tap at La Cumbre - West, pours an opaque milky yellow with a small white head. Nose is full of chalk and clouded up oats, with subdued dank hops. Flavour is just chalk galore — how is this rated so well? Chalky and muddled. This isn't good.

On tap at La Cumbre - West, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is quite dank for an APA, with some pot-like hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is bright and bitter, with gently dank hops, light pine and crisp biscuity malt. Dry and bitter with plenty of hops for the style. Very good.
