Crisp and fairly deep copper and even light amber coloured body with a very thin, single centimetre tall off-white and tan head that fades very quickliy. Aroma of light metal, grass, grapefruit, caramelised sugars with a slight hit of citrus bitterness, too, but the crisp hops are still stronger. Medium-bodied; Very crisp, grassy and herbal hop notes domiante here with a moderately strong malt punch that provides more than enough support to the hop bitterness, and actually show too much rustic earthiness compared to the hops here. Aftertaste is deep, rich and very earthy with caramel, nuts and strong flavours throughout, with the bitterness deep, showing some toffee and caramelised sugar notes at the end, but the malt perhaps stronger than all the hops. Overall, a decent, older school, East Coast IPA, with more malts than hops in entirety and only a dash of hop bitterness that shows through the nutty and earthy malt notes. Nice to sample from Colorado, pretty fresh, but I was expecting much more from this one...but happy I at least brough it home with me to try! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Fort Collins, Colorado on 31-January-2022 for US$2,50, best by 28-February-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 28-April-2022.

can. Clear golden pour with a sudsy white head that has fair retention. The aroma is strong with corn, breads, and straw. The taste was very bready with corn, honey and some mildly bitter herbs. The palate was full and viscous with prickly carbonation. Finishes medium in duration and sticky. Overall: Decent--In fact this may be the best Mexican style lager I've ever tasted.

Can. Cloudy opaque yellow with a small white head. The aroma is big and bold with grapefruit and some pineapple. The taste, like the aroma. is grapefruit and pineapple with a bit of lemon on the side. Medium bitterness provided by the grapefruit. The palate is full and viscous. Overall: Decent brew, but seemed like a bit of a one trick pony.

Black with a creamy, beige head. Aroma full of heavily roasted grains. There’s touches of coffee and chocolate, but the sheer “burntness” of it dominates. Burnt bitter taste with a milk chocolate sweetness underneath. Faint tartness. Medium-bodied, mild carbonation, good chewiness. Nice balance overall. Tasty!
