So what do you call Matthew and Gunnar together? A Full Nelson. Ba da boom. A New Mexico beer obtained in Santa Fe, La Cumbre has not let me down before, here we go. The 22 oz bottle is opened and poured into my New Belgium tasting glass. There is a cloudy light yellow, slightly orange body accompanied by a there-and-gone white head. The nose, all right, here comes grapefruit, lemon, grass. All just a build up to a drink. Oh yeah. It delivers, stout hoppiness, citrus, pine needles, hemp, perhaps a slight sweetness. Not as raw as Elevated, the palate is cleansed and the abv is higher. Very tasty.

Poured up on tap at Tipsy Cactus where it exhibits an opaque dull gold light brown body that supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up loads of peach, cantaloupe, mango and then a tangelo note. Nice. The taste delivers soft cantaloupe, mango, peach and then a citrus blend of tangerine and tangelo. It quickly picks up more bitter hop and dry mineral notes to midway. A few more sips and lime mixed with a sense of kiwi joins the flavor. Pretty nice.

Sample at What The Funk!? on 10/04/2017. Cloudy orange color with a medium thin bone white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Strings of lacing. Aroma of tart fruit, oak, yeast and malt. Medium body with a vinous oaky character, herbal yeast, hibiscus and doughy malt. The finish is oaky with a fruit and tequila aftertaste. Good beer overall.
