(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 25 Nov 2018) Dark brown/ruby colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with caramel, toast, dark fruit and some coffee. Malty taste with notes of caramel, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit and a balanced earthy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Good and well made strong bitter. Nice one.

Tap at Beer Dock Crewe, 23/03/19. Hazed golden yellow with an off white cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is light citric pith, lime, spice, toasted grains, grass. Taste comprises lemon tinged straw, herb, grass, citric pith, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with dusty mildly Sorachi laden hop bitterness. Ok.
