Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours almost black with minimal tan head and good lacing. There’s roasted malts and fudge in the aroma. In the mouth it starts off pretty sweet with flavour of olde English spangles (aniseed and humbug mainly) plus roasted malts and treacle. Later on there is some liquorice and hints of dark fruits, leading to a slightly bitter and spicy finish. This is rather nice !

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 21st December 2023. Deep copper with shallow foam and spot lacing. Nutty malts throughout drinking experience from aroma to finish. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Superb.

Cask handpull at Nelson Arms Tonbridge. Clear dark copper colour. Lasting white head. Hoppy aroma. Hops throughout. Lime flavour. Some tangerine. Good condition. Good flavours. I rather liked this. A citrus ipa tray hides abv.

12/10/2023. Cask at Nottingham Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2023. Pours clear dark gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma is malty, fruity citrus, hops. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Nice bitterness developed. It’s fine.

Cask at the Evening Star, Brighton 03/08/2023 New 🏴 brewery ✅ medium sweet juicy fruity aroma and taste, subtle but pleasing citrus and light tropical fruity notes delivered, light malts, soft cask mouthfeel, light bitter edged hoppy close, tasty and quaffable.

Cask @ Tap and Can. Pours a pale gold, small white head. Gentle citrussy aroma. Fresh, gently hoppy, balanced seshy character to taste with mild citrussy elements. Fine overall.

Cask at the Evening Star, Brighton on 28th August 2023. Deep sepia with pale tan foam and full lacing. Coffee roast malt aroma. Cocoa, coffee and just a hint of allspice in-mouth. A finish of spiced, roast malts. Medium bodied with a velvet smooth mouthfeel.
