Odd Side Ales
Microbrewery
in Grand Haven,
Michigan,
United States 🇺🇸
Associated Venue: Odd Side Ales
Established in 2010
Our story began in 2010, as a micro-brewery producing craft beer from our pub located inside the historic piano factory in Grand Haven, Michigan. We quickly outgrew the pub’s brewing capacity and now, after three different expansions, brew from our own 44,000 sq. ft. facility.
Our main focus is to creatively stay on the leading edge of craft beer styling. While maintaining a large core of year round and seasonal favorites, we strive to introduce new recipes that push the boundaries of flavor combinations and craft beer categories. Everyone at Odd Side Ales is here because they have a true love of craft beer, the industry as a whole, and the people who drink and enjoy what we are able to do each day!
Beyond Michigan, we now distribute to Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. We hope to continue our growth, expanding our reach even further, and share our craft as far as possible!

brewed 2021 I must say delicious aroma of milk chocolate and hazelnuts, I can hardly find any roasted malts or anything else in there, but the hazelnut chocolate aroma is very much present, and very very nice. flavor is chocolate, hazelnuts, faint licorice, bourbon, super nice i must say, perhaps a bit too crazy sweet and chocolatey, but for a sweet imp stout this is one of the better, one of the more interesting. At times a tiny bit boozy and phenolic, but most of the time just sweet chocolate with hazelnuts. next up is the one with marshmallows. even sweeter? ugh.

Can - dark brown pour with a thick and sticky lace - heavy on the maple and coffee, with a touch of bacon smokiness - whiskey notes late - a sharp acidity that seems most likely from the coffee leaves it a little abrasive on the tail end - meh.

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2023. Pours black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has strong cinnamon with a decent amount of vanilla, rye and sweet dark grains backing. Flavor is also cinnamon forward with growing sweet dark grains, roast and a bit of barrel in the finish.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a hazy gold with a finger of fluffy white foam that dissipates quickly. Lots of tropical fruit on the nose - mango, passionfruit, guava and touch of apricot as it warms. Crisp and clean on the palate with a soft mouthfeel under the carbonation. Melon and muted pineapple. Finishes dry with more tropical fruit notes.

very dry, with tons of chocolate, rye, chocolate, touch of bacon and oak character. Tons of rye, tons of chocolate, tons of oak and nice smoke in the background. Super well balanced. No alcohol. Super well balanced. Excellent
