Description
Tomos & Lilford was begun in 2013, by Rolant Tomos and brothers, Rob and Jim Lilford. We started up in a shipping container held together with crocodile clips and a lot of love. Today the love remains, but we’re an eight-barrel outfit supplying retailers of all shapes and sizes, restaurants, bars and festivals throughout the UK. We brew the signature beers for some of Wales’s most loved places and people including Wrights Food Emporium, the Scarlets rugby team and St Fagan’s, the National Museum of History.

Bottle from Iechyd Da, Caernarfon. Shared with Ashton McCobb. Gusher! Aromas of green plant stalks and sherbet. Potential light infection? Taste is tangy, chalky. Something not right.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - it’s a gusher. Golden with a head that just keeps coming. Nose - like thyme sorbet. There’s the sorbet note you get from infected beer and then there’s a green stalk thing. Taste - more green stalks, sour lemon. Palate - light bodied, dry and tangy throughout. Sour and bitter. Overall - possibly infected. Must try it on keg or cask

500ml bottle from Stori, Bala. Pours a glowing orange, small off-white head. Orange in the aroma, along with some sweet floral notes. Taste is pale malt and soft wheat with some light shades of fruity orange and floral bergamot. Perhaps a little too light on the orange peel, but pleasant enough.

Cask shared with Finn at Hopbunker. Patchy white surface. Slightly misty golden body. Scattered lacing. Mild aroma of spiced fruits. Grain fruity flavours, wheaty backbone. Mid-sweet grain-fruity end. Okay, rather anonymous brew. (Cardiff 02.05.2017).
