Description
Burdock brewery set up shop in what used to be an old Portuguese chicken restaurant, and they transformed the space into an artist-driven bar/restaurant/music hall/microbrewery run by a group of musicians and music lovers. They offer a rotating list of clean pale ales, complex saisons, crisp pilsners, zippy sours, and beer-wine hybrids that are all brewed in house.

Hazy, pale greenish sort of colour. It's got a nice brett and pear note, There's a mellow carbonation, but the palate has a lot of pear. it's gentle, but it is pretty good.

Power tasting at Phill's, can
Black colour. Dusty cola, cocoa powder, with mild sourness and other bugs, frankly tastes like infected beer. Thin.

Brilliant red colour, slight haze. Smells of farts, sulfur, slightly cheese, then grapes, and some jam. Weird mouthfeel, a bit sour and oily; it has a good fruit characters, berries, but little else to talk abolut; mild acidity.
Not impressed.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy dark red with a small pinkish-beige head. Aroma is complex, with loads of red wine, red grape skins, rustic saison yeast, and some wild bugs. Flavour is quite buggy, with loads of red grape skins, gentle wild yeast, grape must, and bone dry wood. Lots of bone dry grape skins, with a wonderful complexity. Lovely.

A hazed blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light lemon, light lactic and Epsom salts, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light lime, light lactic and Epsom salts, very nice. On tap at Lupulus.
