Half-pint, cask in fine condition at The Heart of Northumberland, Hexham. Shared with Finn. Clear nut brown body. Low beige head, spotty lacing. Inviting smell of dark berry skins and chocolate malts. Dark berry-fruits to the taste buds on a backbone of chocolate malts. Mid-sweet, rounded dark malty ending. Fine depth. Good drinking.
