Pours clear blonde, smell is full, malty, wort-like. Weak, and not great. Taste is malty, wort, sweet, not very natural at all.

Got in a trade with Shanex. 330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 1/28/2021. Leaked bottle in shipment. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a small fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, no streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, white grape, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, candi sugar, honey, cracker, white bread dough, light toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, candi sugar, pale malts, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of big lemon, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, white grape, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, candi sugar, honey, cracker, white bread dough, light toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; and pepper/clove yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, white grape, peppercorn, clove, light banana/bubblegum, candi sugar, honey, cracker, white bread dough, light toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, candi sugar, pale malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with an awesome malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Mild carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and fairly crisp/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 9%. Overall this is an excellent tripel. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, candi sugar, pale malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish; very well attenuated for the ABV. Great well rounded Belgian yeast complexity, clean pils malts/sugars, and nice noble hop presence/balance for the style. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressively well made style example. Adjusted the score for the known lack of carbonation, but it was still spot on stuff.

Tap at a statin cafe in Ghent. Unexpected reunion with this one. Nice bitterness but its appeal is limited. Maybe some pineapple and minerals, but really struggling to find much of interest.

Bottle at De Planck. Pale blond colour with white fluffy head. Aroma is bubblegum sorachi ace, bit peppery and a bit fruity. Taste is very saison like, fruity, bubblegum and quite refreshing. As you go down the glass it becomes less interesting. Bit thin in the mouth. Quite nice, but lacking something to make it stand out. Bit bland.
