Description
Nestled on a hill overlooking the River Tyne, surrounded by workshops and fishmongers, Flash House Brewery opened the doors to our North Shields Tap Room in April 2016. From our 5bbl Plant, only a stones throw from the revitalised Fish Quay, we brew small batch, expertly crafted world beers in the old heartland of the industrial North East.

17/10/2018. Cask at the Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2018, Nottingham. Pours black with a small bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma of coconut, chocolate, lactose and malt with moderate toasting. Medium to heavy sweetness and moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight creamy texture, soft carbonation.

Cask at ORB, Darlington. Hazy yellow gold colour, white foam head leaving lacing and tropical fruit hoppy aroma. Taste is pale malt with juicy tropical fruits, zesty citrus and hop resiny bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry fruity hoppy light bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

28/7/2018. Can at Højbjerg tasting. Pours black with a lasting beige head. Aroma of hazelnut, chocolate, roasted malt. Medium plus sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily and watery texture, soft carbonation.

Can @ Højbjerg tasting 28 July. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of nuts, roast and malt, with notes of coffee. Bitter, roasty flavour with nutty notes and touches of malt and yeast. Hints of hops. Bitter, roasty aftertaste. Very nice.

Can. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark brown colour. Moderate malty nutty aroma. Moderate malty hazelnutty notes. Light bitter finish. Oily palate.

Can @Højbjerg Tasting. Black with airy beige head. Aroma has lots of roasted hazelnuts, vanilla, like good homemade nutella. Dry, nutty flavour. Quite light considerig the rich aroma. Finishes roasted and very dry.

Can @ Højbjerg tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich artificial hazelnut, chocolate, caramel, roast malt and hops. Sweet finish.

Can @ Saxo tasting. Black with a big light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and heavy hazelnuts. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. 280718

Can @ Højbjerg tasting 28 July. Pours slightly hazy straw with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of citrus and hops, with notes of hops and malt. Bitter and citric flavour of C-hops, with notes of yeast and touches of malt and fruit. Citric and estery aftertaste. A nic one.
