Keg @ The Boot Micropub, as part of our pre-Christmas tasting walkabout. Misty golden yellow pour, white head. Welcoming exotic hop aroma.Great hop shades, bright & flavoursome. Excellent haze.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep purple and smoothie like. Thin off white head. Nose - red cherry and plum. Possibly pomegranate and hibiscus if you go searching for it. Taste - pomegranate and red cherry mainly. Light plum and funky edge. Palate - light bodied, firstly creamy dry and lightly sour finish. Overall - good.

Can from the Low Cost Beer online shop. Pours murky purple with a thin pink-tinged head. Aromas of glacé cherry, citrus sour. Taste is chalky, pomegranate, faint plum. Light sour finish. OK.

Holmes Stead from Farm Yard Brew Co.

Cask at Hopwoods, Preston (not yet listed on RateBeer). Pours “bitter brown” with a medium sized foamy off-white head. Malts are the mainstay of the aroma, plus some hints of nuts. In the mouth it oscillates between sweet and bitter with malts, nuts and caramel plus traces of autumn fruits. Finish is dry and nutty. This is a reasonable old school bitter – quite tasty given the low strength.

Keg at IMBC 2023. Pours copper with a cream foam. Aroma: very malty, caramel, toffee, cherry, whiff of peak smoke. Moderate sweet & bitter, quite rich. Medium body with soft carbonation.
