Can from Sainsbury's dot com I believe. It pours pretty much black (darkest brown perhaps) with a small tan head. The aroma is sweet, oily, plenty of chocolate, gateaux, vanilla, Neapolitan ice cream, deep roast, plenty of coffee, jammy fruits and toasted fruit cake. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, bitterness lingers, charred, dark roasted malt, plenty of chocolate, gateaux, vanilla cake frosting, nice big hit of coffee, touch of umami, warming booze and some spice. Fulsome body and fine to moderate carbonation. Mouthfeel is sticky / oily as it warms up a bit. Works well overall. Flavourful and never too sweet (common feature in many modern beers).

Can from Lidll, Farnborough whilst stocking up on wurst. Aroma is relatively low key; some stone fruit, some resin, malts. Hazy orange. Thick foamy white head. Fruity... moreso than Aroma hinted at. Sweet with a tang. Resinous streak. Citrus. Jammy. Gains sour tanggg. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat-average carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. A Lidl bit good.

The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, juicy, bright, tropical fruits, juicy, pithy, zesty, grapefruit, pomelo, candied orange, pineapple, green, weedy, dank, touch of pine, floury bread and a touch of booze with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Errs on the sweet side perhaps. Nice tropical fruit character.

Taste comprises bitter orange, citric sherbets, grass, pine, grapefruit, melon, kiss of mango. Can picked duo at Marshall's farm shop, Aberdeenshire. It pours hazy deep red - brown with a decent off - head. The aroma is deep maltage, brown bread , dried fruits, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, some cherry, toasted brown sugar, toffee, some liquoricey Tullibardine whisky character, some permanent, jammy, vinous and Scottish tablet. The taste is slick, thick, oily, chewy, bitter - sweet, super fruity, berry and dried fruits, sultana, cherry, cranberry, prune, fruit cake, warming booze, cherry cola, Dr Pepper, vinous, jammy, umami, liquorice allsorts, permanent marker pen and whisky soaked oak with a drying, fairly short finish. Medium - fulsome body and fine carbonation. Interesting stuff for sure. Plenty to it. Not 100% in love with the liquoricey/marker pen vibes, but it's a nice beer nonetheless.

Can from Marshall's farm shop, Aberdeenshire. It pours hazy darkest red with a decent off-white head. The aroma is sweet - sour, resinous, sappy, fruity berry vibes, some jammy fruits, light vanilla, toffee, whisky soaked fruit cake, Christmas cake, marzipan, candied orange, marmalade and fortified wine. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, sappy, piney, resinous, warming booze, whisky soaked oak, light tannin, toffee, whisky fudge, bitter orange, hint of campari, dried fruits , fruit cake, marzipan, toasted almonds, burnt toast, umami and liquoricey Tullibardine whisky with a slick finish. Fulsome body and fine, prickly carbonation. Nice depth of flavour. Even though I am not a huge fan of Tully whisky this works well.
