Keg at Elusive. Nutty chocolate aroma before fruity berries come through. Dark cola brown. Opaque. Bubbly beige head just clings to the rim. Light bitter - there a malty chocolatey core throughout. Over the top there are sour edged sweet berries. Medium bodied. Slick, some thickness. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Enjoyable misture of sweetness and a sour edge.

The Merchant, Cask. Almost cloudy yellow gold beer, small white head. Soft palate, fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft malts, sweetish. Twangy hops, tangy pine, wonky skunk, little off beat citrus. Odd. Not particularly drinkable.

Cask at the Merchant, Canary Wharf, 19/12/19. Murky orange yellow with an off white head. Nose is rather odd ... slightly cheesy and funky, orange peel, tangy citric rinds ... weird! Taste is better comprising bitter orange, mineral bite, grass melon, straw. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with balanced hop bitterness. Passable number at best ... rather disjointed overall.
