Gold in color with a small head. The Aroma was citrus, floral and pine. Taste was also citrus, floral and pine. It was very good for what it was. I'm not sure why the very low scores. Everyone should have known what it was going in and there are very few no alcohol beers that are actually drinkable.

Single from 604. Smudges born on date. Maybe June? Pint glass at home. Mildly hazy, not absolutely opaque, lacy white-washed head. Earthy, peppery, orange oil, veg. Juicy, pure orange juice, candied grapefruit, sweet onion finish, lingering pith bite. Low carb, frothy, thick, a touch difficult. Decent. Better with bubbles.

Notes from 2/17/09. A throw in on one of my suitcase treks across Manhattan's bottle shops. No BB date, but I think this one was the next to last on the shelf last month. Pint glass pour. Clear ruby iced-tea body, & an inch plus of light tan head, which in turn leaves me plenty of sticky, ugly, soap scum-like lace(a good omen). Maybe not. Smell is a real overabundance of caramel, raisins, soaked bread, the sharpness of steak sauce, & just a squirt of fresh citrus right at the end. Underfermented & soggy. The ABV seems bigger then stated. Smells like an opening round at a one & done homebrew competition. I don't think I like where this is going. A little better here, though not much. The carbonation is right up front, lending itself to a slight roast. Though it quickly gets dominated by a sharp malt taste, along with a lingering acidic grapefruit rind bitterness. A slight tang. The ending dries out on newspaper & a metallic snag of hops. Alcohol is very solvent like. Even free, I'd be hesitant.
