Description
The New Old Lompoc opened on May 6th, 2000. But the Old Lompoc Brewery (as it was formerly know) has been producing handcrafted ales and lagers since December 1996, while the tavern has been open since 1993.
The name originally came from the movie ‘The Bank Dick’ starring W.C. Fields and Mae West. Most of the movie took place in the ‘Old Lompoc House’, which was the local watering hole as well as a boarding house.
Our food menu is an excellent array of Northwest pub fare with a great selection of entrees, soups and salads. We have also remodeled the patio and added a sun deck.

Draught. Rather orange for a pilsener with a thin white head. Light grassy aroma. Bready taste with a hop edge. Crisp finish.

Tap at OBF 2918. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma is tropical - definitely passionfruit. Med body or so. Flavor is very passionfruit for me. Bitter. Fruity. Dry. Almost astringent. Very nicely done.

Draught. This beer sets out to be a hop bomb and succeeds. Orange with off white head. Hop aroma, citrus, evergreen and melon. Balanced taste, malt and hop together. Doesn't overwhelm you. Lasting finish.

Lompoc Proleteriat Red 6.2% Deep reddish brown with a thick pillowy beige head that leaves copious lacing behind. It has a lovely herbal peppery hop bouquet combined with bready caramel malt notes, spot on. Quite full bodied and sweeter than I anticipated with cocoa powder malt notes and piney hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught. Rather dark for a lager with almost no head. Almost no aroma, a bit of lemon. Flavour is rather good with balance malt and hop.

Note: brewed by Lompoc's brewer as a guest brew in the kettles of Poesiat & Kater, Amsterdam. Light hazy deep ruby red color. Dense, stiff off white head. Aroma's: caramel malts, bready malts. Retronasal it's caramel malts, red fruit, dark malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with light bitterness. Medium bodied. Finishes with a mild, somewhat herbal bitterness.
