Description
The New Old Lompoc opened on May 6th, 2000. But the Old Lompoc Brewery (as it was formerly know) has been producing handcrafted ales and lagers since December 1996, while the tavern has been open since 1993.
The name originally came from the movie ‘The Bank Dick’ starring W.C. Fields and Mae West. Most of the movie took place in the ‘Old Lompoc House’, which was the local watering hole as well as a boarding house.
Our food menu is an excellent array of Northwest pub fare with a great selection of entrees, soups and salads. We have also remodeled the patio and added a sun deck.

Bottle at Hop Haven. The first of many ratings with few notes in Portland. Lovely, subtle grapefruit, good stuff, light and easy, pink grapefruit taste. Minerals, pineapple. Very nice.

Tap at PDX Taproom. Pretty nice, sour lemon candy taste, bit of rye weirdness, light malt. Like it. Sorachi cheesiness. Nice.

Tap at the Grub. Toffee, caramel, what you'd expect. Little bit of spice. Light hop character. Nice enough. --- Beer merged from original tick of 80 Bob on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8. Original review text: Tap at the Grub. Tap at PDX Taproom a while ago. Nice. Strong coffee grounds type flavour. Chocolate, toasty, light sweetness, bit nutty. Nice stuff. Feels like there's a little bit of spice there too. Low carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of Jitter Brew Stout on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 9 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8. (Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2019) Dark ruby colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, fruity, woody nose with red fruit, caramel, oak wood and red wine. Malty, slightly vinous taste with notes of caramel, red fruit, wood, red wine and a mild spicy bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tap at OBF 2019. Pours haze orange gold with a white head. Aroma is more wheat than blood orange. Near med body. Flavor seems more blood orange than wheat. It's a bit bland.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 13 Feb 2019) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with canned peaches, apples, soft malt and a touch of cinnamon. Fruity, tart taste with notes of apples, unripe pears, mixed fruit, a touch of oak wood and green grapes. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Low bitterness. Quite fruity and fairly odd for a saison. Quite enjoyable.
